Pulitzer Prize-winning Martin Luther King Jr. biographer Taylor Branch gave a speech Monday morning at Gustavus reminding people of the truths behind the civil rights movement and the myths that have developed since. In addition to his work on the civil rights era, Branch published in 2009 “The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History with the President,” and in 2011, “The Cartel: Inside the Rise and Imminent Fall of the NCAA.”
