Dr. William Lee, a surgeon at United Hospital in Blue Earth, is performing Lap Band operations to help patients lose weight. He explained the surgery using a model of the stomach. The band fits on the upper portion of the stomach and fluid is injected into a port and travels through a tube to make the band tighter.
