Shootings seem to be occurring more frequently since December when 20 children were gunned down in a Newtown, Conn. school building.
We become a little desensitized to these events, it seems, when they trickle out over time. In newsrooms, the gallows humor tends toward thoughts like: "Only two dead, that's hardly news anymore."
But when we put the incidents together in one place, they seem a little more sobering or thought provoking.
