ST. CLOUD —
Authorities may have a break in the unsolved slaying of a Cold Spring police
officer.
Officer Tom Decker was shot and killed Nov. 29 while responding to a call of
a possibly suicidal man. A suspect was quickly arrested but was released
without charges.
Officials in Stearns County have called a Friday afternoon news conference
to detail what they say are new developments in the investigation. They
declined to give details ahead of the news conference.
Sheriff John Sanner and Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Superintendent Wade
Setter are schedule to appear at the 2 p.m. news conference in St. Cloud.
