HENDERSON —
Last year Henderson introduced a regional festival to celebrate the ruby-throated hummingbird: The Henderson Hummingbird Hurrah.
To the delight of organizers, the workshops, children’s activities, garden tours and hummingbird banding were visited by thousands of people. This year, at the second festival, Henderson is hoping for an even better turnout.
One special activity this year is the dinner with writer, speaker and storyteller Al Batt. The dinner is 5:30 p.m. Saturday, and Batt will entertain at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s UCC Church in Henderson.
Once again this year, other activities will include garden tours, workshops, button raffle prizes and children’s activities.
