MANKATO — Todd Menton, a musician who plays Celtic and eclectic folk music, will perform Saturday at the Eagles Club, a concert presented by the Bothy Folk Club.
Menton is a member of the Minneapolis band Boiled in Lead, which performs original world music. The band formed in 1983 and membership has changed continuously throughout the years. The band’s big annual performance is on St. Patrick’s Day at First Avenue.
Menton’s musical influences include Martin Carthy, the Clancy Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Tom Waits, John Van Orman, Townes Van Zandt and Dave Swarbrick, among others.
