Closeup: Rides, food and music at Fun Days
NORTH MANKATO — Like every year, there will be tones of fun stuff for people to do at North Mankato Fun Days — games, rides, food, bands, a beer garden and the giant Fun Days Parade, which surely will feature plenty of floats with candy and treats.
The carnival, itself, is worth making the trip for. As always, kids can throw darts at balloons for prizes, shoot hoops, do the ring toss or play the duck pond.
And, for the grown-ups, if beer and music is more your style, City Mouse and the Paul Durenberger Band are among the live entertainment.
People are encouraged to bring donations during the parade to ECHO Food Shelf.
The fireworks display will be held 10 p.m. Sunday, July 12, in the Spring Lake Park area.
