MANKATO —
Mankato and North Mankato have been designated honorable mention as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists.
The communities were selected because residents can use their bicycles for transportation to shop, or go to school or work. Interconnected trails go to Faribault as well as south to Rapidan, where they connect to routes that go to Lake Crystal and beyond.
