Randy Demmer stated that he knows employers that are looking to hire, but they can’t find anyone willing to work. Using anonymous business owners does nothing to help the people of southern Minnesota. If Demmer is so in touch with the employers he should do us all a service and release the names of these employers so people can apply for the jobs.
Does he understand what it is like to be unemployed, with a family, and have no relief in sight? If he did, I doubt he would be as hurtful when he said, “We have people not taking a job because they have unemployment.”
To not release these names of these business owners is a great disservice to the communities being ravaged by outsourcing and unemployment.
He has no plan to create jobs. No plan to help the unemployed. Apparently his plan is to just get off the couch and find a job. No advice on how to do so. He won’t even tell you where to look. He just wants you to stop being lazy.
This may be politics as usual, but I find it disgusting. Our current congressman, Rep. Tim Walz, has continued to stand up for the workers as well as those looking for work. We need to keep him in office and not let people like Demmer take his ignorance to a federal level.
