ST PETER — Recently, I sent letters to our senators in Washington, Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar, with my sentiments against the current Senate and House health care proposals.
The latest national health care proposal polls indicate that the people of this nation are 54.4 percent against to 37.4 percent in favor of any such Obamacare legislation.
I received a reply back from Franken stating, “The Senate bill is the best vehicle we have and I believe the House should pass this legislation so we can get a final bill to the President’s desk as soon as possible. I am now working with my colleagues in both chambers of Congress to ‘pledge and pass.’”
What’s wrong with this picture? Franken and the rest of the Democrats just don’t get it. What are we, the American people, saying at 54.4 to 37.4 percent? That we want you to go ahead and shove this down our throats even though we tell you we don’t want it?
No is a simple response. What part of no don’t you understand?
There is a force working here that is beyond our understanding and control. We need to get it back and they need to pay a price for their outrageous actions.
