Your View: Light display amazes, inspires

— I recently had the opportunity to volunteer at the Kiwanis Holiday Lights at Sibley Park as a representative of the Zonta organization. It was amazing to see the positive energy from the numerous volunteers and organizations that were participating.

It was an honor to meet the people who had orchestrated this project from the beginning and see first-hand the cooperative efforts of so many people that were passionate about the spirit of the holidays in such a pure and beautiful manner.

Donations of food, money and endless kind words, as well as the smiles on people’s faces were all I needed to see.

The snow fell magically in the evening and the horse-drawn carriage was like a scene from “Currier & Ives.” It was amazing. Thank you to every person and organization who gave of their time, talents, energy and support. You have all shared the true spirit of Christmas.
