Next Tuesday, voters in House District 19A will choose a new state representative in a special election. We like to view all of the resumes, and it seems to us that the one with the most experience always rises to the top. For that reason, it is a simple choice, we are voting Allen Quist.
Quist has experience as a three-term legislator in the Minnesota House, the only one with prior legislative experience. Since the winner will be sworn in with the current Legislature well underway, we need someone who will hit the ground running and represent our interests competently.
Quist is a veteran of the Capitol with a history of bipartisanship. He'll be most effective in providing leadership on day one.
As a family farmer, small businessman, author, and former college professor (not all professors are liberals), Quist brings plenty of real-world experience to the table. A lifelong resident of the St. Peter area, he understands the needs of southern Minnesota.
Our country, our state, our counties and our cities are sliding wildly down that slippery slope of false euphoria. What happens when that sled hits the big tree at the bottom? As Americans, we need to wake up and hold our elected officials accountable.
Make the right choice; please vote Quist in the Minnesota House District 19A special election on Tuesday.
