After more than a year of inane noise coming from the Obama administration on “health care reform,” some limited information has leaked out. After a close look, “health care reform” is simply the label put on a new government-controlled program by marketing experts to sell it to the public.
Its core and very purpose is to put in place rationing and price controls on medical visits, tests and treatments.
Only research and development improve medical care. However, price controls and rationing imposed on any good or service have always failed. It should be relabeled, “Obama subprime medical care” because it will be to medical care what subprime mortgages were to home mortgages. Because they get to write and vote on legislation, Democrats Rep. Tim Walz, Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Sen. Al Franken, and all other politicians in the U.S. House and Senate have exempted themselves from coverage.
Republicans have stood firm in opposition. Subprime mortgages destroyed both home ownership and home mortgage lending. “Obama subprime medical care” will certainly destroy American medical care.
Then what?
