Jack Riedy, Mankato
— I support Karl Johnson of rural North Mankato to fill the vacancy resulting from resignation of Rep. Terry Morrow as state representative from District 19A.
Karl has many years of experience in business and farming in Nicollet County. He still actively farms and for years he operated a feed and farm supply business. Karl fully appreciates the challenges facing both farmers and business people. His common sense and work ethic will serve the people of Nicollet County well.
It seems that the ranks of farmers in our state government have dwindled substantially over the years, and electing a farmer like Karl will help bring back some balance between rural and urban interests among state legislators. Karl is a past president of Minnesota Pork Producers and he recently accompanied Gov. Dayton’s trade mission to China.
His long experience in advocating for farm and rural interests will make him a strong and influential voice in state government. Vote for Karl Johnson in the upcoming primary election on Jan. 29 and in the general election on Feb. 12.
