Your View: Quist deserves your vote in District 19A

Allen Quist is the Republican endorsed candidate for the special election for state representative in our area to replace Terry Morrow, who has resigned. I highly recommend Allen Quist to you.

Quist is an experienced legislator who can make a real difference in St. Paul. He represented this area for three terms, from 1983 to 1988. He will hit the ground running the day he arrives in St. Paul.

Quist grew up here on a homestead that was settled by his family more than 150 years ago. He himself has farmed in Nicollet County for over 45 years. He knows first hand the challenges facing small business and agriculture. This is especially important now when the legislature is heavily dominated by metro interests.

At a time when the DFL is talking about huge tax increases of many different kinds, Quist would protect future generations by holding down taxes.

Quist has been a legislator, a teacher, a school board member, a farmer, a writer, and a speaker. He brings strong leadership and experience with him.

I recommend a vote for Quist in the Feb. 12 special election. We need a strong voice to represent us.
