Your View: Increased price of gas just like a tax hike

— I happened to notice the price of gas went up another 10 cents. I got home and a senator was on CNBC telling how President Obama cannot hold the Republicans hostage on a tax increase to go along with budget cuts.

I then figured the cost of gas increases since January would mean another $680 per year for what we drive. That sure feels like a tax increase to my budget, but not a word from Congress about these increases.

Our senators and representatives have their agendas but removing themselves from the pockets of big oil is not one of them.
