Your View: Walz favors middle-income tax breaks

Recently, the U.S. House passed the U.S. Senate version of a bill “fixing” the alternative minimum tax (AMT) by adding $50 billion to the national debt.

I’m glad that our congressman, Tim Walz, had the courage to vote against this fiscally-irresponsible piece of legislation.

He had twice supported House versions that included funding the fix by closing tax loopholes, thus following Pay-Go rules.

Rep. Walz favors tax breaks for middle-income people in a fiscally responsible manner. I thank him for standing by his principles.
