Saturday night, our U.S. representative, Tim Walz, took a historic vote in favor of H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act.
This is the first time such legislation has passed either body of Congress since President Theodore Roosevelt first tried to expand health care for Americans nearly a century ago.
Congressman Walz and the other U.S. representatives who had the courage to vote for this legislation should be commended for their efforts to make affordable health care available to all Americans, not just the wealthy few.
