Our thanks to Rep. Tim Walz for his “yes” vote for Affordable Health Care for America Act. He has said, it “is not a vote I cast lightly, but it is one I cast proudly.”
He knew what his priorities for reform had to be so the citizens of southern Minnesota, whom he represents, can have their hopes and dreams for health care fulfilled. That is why he voted ”yes.”
There are those who resort to distortions of the truth and outright lies in an effort to stop this legislation. We say, “enough."
The scare tactics about taxing small businesses and some individuals are just one example. According to the Congressional Budget Office, over 86 percent of small businesses and over 99 percent of individuals are exempt from any additional taxes or additional regulations.
We look to Walz for the truth and we get it. This is why we elected him and why we will vote for him again next year.
Thank you, Rep. Walz, for working to ensure health care reform.

Recent opinion polls show that less than one-third of Americans have a favorable opinion of Mitt Romney, and almost half, 49 percent, have an unfavorable opinion — a number that skyrocketed 15 percentage points in one month, according to a January ABC News/Washington Post poll.
