Your View: Support Karl Johnson for District 19A

— I am supporting Karl Johnson in the special election for District 19A state representative. I've been hoping Karl would run for the Legislature for a long time.

Karl is a farmer and that means he's a worker and also a businessman. He has deep roots in Nicollet County. He is a life-long resident of Belgrade Township. He has been active in the local community in so many ways that make him a model citizen.

He's been president of the Minnesota Pork Producers so he knows how to collaborate, and lead, and deal with government. He's been quietly active in the DFL for many years. He is well known throughout the area and the state. Karl will have strong backing from farm and labor groups.

In a special election turnout is low, so every vote really counts. Karl has appeal beyond the city limits where Republicans usually do well. Most of all Karl Johnson is a really decent, smart and sensible person. The primary election is Jan. 29 and the special election is Feb. 12. Let's elect Karl Johnson.
