Your View: MSU football deserves more coverage

This Saturday, Minnesota State plays at Blakeslee Stadium against Valdosta State with the winner playing for the national Championship on Dec. 15. 

The Free Press coverage seems to be non-existent. Why? Today’s (Monday) paper does not have one word regarding this upcoming game. The Valdosta Daily Times (our opponent’s newspaper) has a daily column leading up to this game. Last week’s game did not have anything written prior to Saturday, the day of the game. 

As a resident of Mankato and an alumni of MSU, I encourage everyone in the Mankato area to attend the game on Saturday and support this team, which has made an amazing run this season.
