Krusemark named Lancers' new director

MANKATO — Brady Krusemark has been named director of Mankato Area Public Schools’ 77 Lancers marching band for 2013.

Krusemark has served the past two seasons as program assistant. An interview committee noted Krusemark’s background, training and experience as qualities that make him an excellent fit for the Lancers program.

Krusemark, a former Lancer, is the band director at West High School. Prior to that, he served as director of instrumental music for grades nine through 12 at Waconia Public Schools.

Former director Mike Hench was with the band for three seasons and has a full-time job in South Dakota.

The Lancers are a 34-year tradition in the Mankato area and have won numerous awards of excellence
