ELMORE — A SWAT team was summoned Saturday to help deal with a stabbing incident at an Elmore residence.
The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office said a 911 caller shortly after midnight reported that someone had been stabbed at the residence.
Upon arrival authorities learned that Jose Briseno, 23, of Elmore, was at the home of Michael Hinton, 48, when the two men had a disagreement.
Briseno told authorities Hinton started to choke him and as he tried to escape Hinton stabbed him in the hand.
The SWAT was called after numerous failed attempts were made to get Hinton out of the residence.
Hinton was eventually apprehended and taken to jail.
