MANKATO — Minnesota State University’s Dental Education Department is again teaming up with area dental care providers to offer free services to less fortunate children.
The program is scheduled for Thursday and Friday in the lower level of MSU’s Morris Hall.
The Dental Education Department is among hundreds of volunteer dental professionals across the state who are participating in the fourth-annual “Give Kids a Smile” event.
“Area dental professionals are coming together to offer this day of free care to make a healthy difference in the lives of children, while raising awareness of the growing number of families who don’t have access to dental care,” instructor Brigette Cooper said. “We know we can’t treat all of the patients needing care in two days, but we want to raise awareness of the problem and help as much as we can.”
Patients seeking appointments for cleanings, X-rays, exams and sealants should be under age 18 and accompanied by a parent or guardian. MSU will also be offering free dental exams and X-rays for adults.
Call 389-2147 to schedule an appointment.
