MANKATO — Beer can now be sold at wineries in Blue Earth County, the County Board decided unanimously Tuesday.
The measure had been debated in the Planning Commission, where staff worried beer sales would add a city-like activity into a rural area. But the commission approved it, and the board agreed.
County staff said Tuesday they hadn’t heard any complaints about the proposal.
The change was requested by the owner of Indian Island Winery, but it affects any winery in the county.
