Firefighters, deputies respond to propane leak

Area kept clear during repairs

MANKATO — A portion of a neighborhood on the northeast edge of Mankato was

closed temporarily Thursday morning after a home owner reported a propane

tank was leaking.

The incident in the 100 block of North Augusta Court was reported at about

9:30 a.m. A pressure release valve had opened on the tank and propane was

released into the air. There was no fire, a Blue Earth County Sheriff¹s

Department news release said.

Eagle Lake volunteer firefighters stood by and deputies kept the area clear
