Event brings a splash of art

NORTH MANKATO — Sunshine, live music, fresh-baked cookies and cold lemonade were in ample supply Saturday for people attending the eighth annual ArtSplash in North Mankato.

More than 40 booths displayed a wide variety of arts and crafts including hemp jewelry, leather and bead work, painting, pottery and photography.

Besides the music, food and art, the all-volunteer event, held to benefit the North Mankato Taylor Library and Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society, also included a silent auction.
