Power restored in Mankato, North Mankato

MANKATO — Several thousand people lost power in Mankato and North Mankato for about 40 minutes Thursday afternoon, Xcel Energy said.

A cable failure at a substation knocked out power for 3,359 customers from 3:20 p.m. to about 4 p.m., an Xcel spokesman said.
