MANKATO — Three suspects have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery that was reported by two men at 4:30 a.m. Jan. 27.
The victims told police they were in the area of Birchwood Street and Dillon and Floral avenues when two males asked to use a cellphone. After providing the strangers with a cellphone to use, one of the suspects allegedly displayed what appeared to be a short-barreled shotgun, a Mankato Department of Public Safety news release said. The suspects then left in a car that was nearby.
The three people arrested are Emmanuel Dak Wal, 18, of Albert Lea, a 17-year-old boy from Albert Lea and a 16-year-old boy from Mankato.
