ST PETER — A 2-year-old boy who ran into a cornfield Sunday was found about an hour later by searchers.
The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call at 6:20 p.m. and went to a residence in Lafayette Township, where the boy’s mother, Elizabeth Lallak of Albertville, stated the boy ran off during a family photo session.
The uninjured child was found at the edge of the field. Area law enforcement and rescue personnel assisted in the search.
Suspicion arose when loose presciption pills were found on the floor.
