MANKATO — A cab driver told police he was robbed by a pair of passengers late Monday.
A cab dispatched to the 200 block of North Fifth Street picked up two passengers. One got in the front seat and the other in the back. The driver told police he was distracted by two other people approaching the cab, and by a question asked by one of his passengers.
The driver told police that while he was looking out the window, one of the passengers pulled out a gun, pointed it at the driver and demanded money.
After surrendering his cash, the driver told police he saw the two people in the car and two others flee together toward Mulberry Street.
The two suspects in the car are described as: A black male between 25 and 30 years old, slender build, 5-feet-10-inches tall, light-colored mustache and was wearing a dark gray hooded jacket and dark pants at the time of the incident. The other passenger was only described as being a black female in her mid-20s.
The suspects outside the car, the driver told police, were wearing dark-colored clothing and ski masks.
