Apartments on bank of Minnesota River to open in January

MANKATO — The new Sibley Park Apartments are opening in January with an open house Dec. 13.

Located along the Minnesota River, east of Sibley Park, the complex has 60 units of one, two, or three bedrooms.

The nonprofit Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership began construction on the complex in 2011, responding to a market need for more affordable and high-quality rental housing.

CEO Rick Goodemann said the apartments were constructed with the environment and efficiency in mind.

“Green housing makes sense for so many reasons, for tenants and for owners. We’ve seen reductions in operating costs, improved health among residents due to better ventilation and moisture control, and increased resident satisfaction in properties with green features,” he said in a statement.

Lloyd Management will manage the property.

The public open house is 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13. For more information: visit LloydManagementInc.com or call Tom Johnson at 625-5573.
