In the Mankato area, there were a handful of official opportunities to get involved in Day of Action, including a painting project at the Mankato Y, rebuilding a wheelchair ramp at a North Mankato residence, an activity and barbecue day with LEEP, and care giving at VINE Faith in Action.
And, in the local offices of the United Way, a small group gathered to help the organization put together its latest Books for Kids mailing.
