MANKATO — The future of the Bethlehem Early Childhood Center in Mankato is uncertain as center officials ponder its fate.
The child care facility is operated by Bethlehem Lutheran Church and licensed to serve 64 children.
A prepared statement from the church council Thursday noted the center's board of directors will meet in coming weeks to discuss long-term plans for the facility. In the meantime, efforts will be made to keep it operational.
The statement said the center has been beset by recent employee resignations and financial difficulties.
