Man arrested in hospital disturbance

MANKATO — A 33-year-old Waseca man is facing felony charges after causing a violent disturbance at the Mayo Health System Mankato Emergency Room early Saturday morning.

Corey Lowell Sather was arrested at about 5 a.m. for causing a disturbance at the hospital. He is accused of attacking officers and attempting to spread a communicable disease by spitting at people who were attempting to calm him down, said Cmdr. Debbie McDermott of the Mankato Department of Public Safety.

Sather, who has been charged with assaulting officers in the past, was taken to the Blue Earth County Jail. He is expected to make his first court appearance this morning.
