GIBBON —
Sibley County authorities say a girl’s claim of being abducted and assaulted turned out to be false.
At 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, the Sheriff’s office received a report that a juvenile female had been abducted and assaulted on County Road 2, four miles north of Gibbon.
After investigation by the Sheriff’s office and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, it was determined the incident did not happen and the girl recanted her story.
