BLUE EARTH — A Faribault County grand jury has charged a Ceylon man with first-degree murder.

Brian D. Freeman, 29, faces two counts of first-degree murder, one count based on premeditation, according to The Sentinel of Fairmont.

Freeman has been in the Faribault County Jail since February on charges that he broke into a residence in Blue Earth in the early morning hours of Feb. 20, killing Christopher Fulmer, 37, of Blue Earth and injuring Freeman’s wife, Candice, and her two teenage daughters.

Freeman’s omnibus hearing is set for July 18, at which time a trial date could be set.
