The Mankato City Council discussed the budget for most of its Monday work session until a few minutes at the end when Councilman Charlie Hurd asked City Manager Pat Hentges how the council would go about investigating Mayor John Brady¹s activities and spending over the last week or more while the mayor was in China and facing DWI charges back home.
"We all have the right to know what he did on our public time," said Hurd, who inquired about access to public information like e-mails. Hentges said he signs off on the bills so he would be able to get information for the council.
