MANKATO —
A 17-year-old Eagle Lake girl died Wednesday in a one-car accident in rural Blue Earth County.
Hannah Gamble was killed when her car ran off the road about 2:15 p.m. on County Road 28 east of Eagle Lake, the State Patrol said.
Gamble had left her home early in the morning and didn't arrive at school in St. Clair. She was reported as missing just after noon.
A passerby noticed skid marks on the road and found her car on a bank of the Le Sueur River. The car had rolled down a steep embankment.
The Patrol said she was wearing a seat belt and road conditions were icy at the time of the accident.
