As part of her statewide Bringing the Capitol to Greater Minnesota tour, Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon will be in the area Tuesday and Wednesday.
Her first stop will be a town hall listening session on education from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at South Central College in North Mankato. The event will be in Conference Room B.
Solon will be joined by state Sen. Kathy Sheran, Rep. Kathy Brynaert, Education Commissioner Brenda Cassellius and Higher Education Commissioner Sheila Wright. Residents are encouraged to arrive early to sign up if they would like to speak.
Solon also will hold office hours from 8-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Department of Transportation Office, 2151 Bassett Drive, in Mankato. To request a one-on-one meeting with the lieutenant governor, residents are encouraged to visit www.governor.state.mn.us/schedule or call 1-800-657-3717. Meetings will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The final part of Solon’s local visit will be a tour of business and initiatives.
