WINNEBAGO —
A 45-year-old Mapleton woman was seriously injured when the vehicle she was driving struck a deer on Highway 169 Friday morning.
Catherine Treanor was driving a 2010 Kia four-door sedan about 6:30 a.m. and was near Winnebago when the deer went through the vehicle's front windshield and out the rear windshield. She lost control of the vehicle, which spun out, then struck a utility pole.
A Mayo helicopter flew Treanor to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, the state patrol said.
