Mankato man involved in one-car crash in North Mankato

MANKATO — The State Patrol is investigating a crash that occurred early Tuesday morning at the Highway 14 and Lor Ray Drive in North Mankato.

The Patrol was called to the scene at about 2:38 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a one-car crash. Ricky Wilmes, 25, of Mankato lost control of his 2005 Ford Econoline while trying to change lanes and went off the road.

No information was available about his condition other than his injuries were non-life threatening.

Wilmes was wearing his seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor.
