The official attendance for the air show won’t be known until next week, but it appears that about 35,000 paying customers attended the two-day event.
It will be a month or so before the city will know if a profit was made. That will determine if or how much money will go to the United Way, the charity for the Mankato air show.
The city is going through huge bins of ticket stubs, and Verizon Wireless Center staff are busy getting ready to host musician Ted Nugent on Thursday night, said Burt Lyman, executive director of the civic center.
He said he’s hopeful the United Way will get a donation from air show profits.
