MANKATO — Some Mankato guys are advertising a female mannequin for $300. Kevin in Waseca has a bunch of empty wine bottles for the taking. A Mankato woman offered erotic services (which landed her in a police sting). Chuck in rural Mankato has dozens of 20-foot pine trees for sale. And a college student is offering her English tutoring skills.
The ads, and thousands more from the common to the bizarre, are on the Mankato Craigslist Web site.
The site is an Internet phenomena that offers mostly free classified advertising postings, a freewheeling frontier attitude and a creative atmosphere.
