WASECA — A suspect has been arrested and between $30,000 and $40,000 recovered as a result of an investigation into a string of thefts and burglaries in southern Minnesota.
Peter Sonnek was arrested in Rice County without incident after Waseca County Sheriff’s Department investigators found several stolen items at a farm near Waldorf. The items recovered included large trailer-mounted air compressor worth more than $10,000, two Bobcat skid steer loaders, a large trailer and a hay bailer.
The air compressor had been painted by the suspect to conceal its identity, the Waseca County Sheriff’s office news release said.
