MANKATO — A suspect is in custody, but police are still hoping witnesses have more information about a hit-and-run crash that injured a man in a bar parking lot Sunday morning.
A Mankato police officer found 33-year-old Brian Donald Anderson injured and lying on the ground after being called to the Mully’s on Madison bar at, 1030 Madison Ave., at 12:29 a.m. Sunday, a report said.
Evidence found at the scene, including torn clothing and scuffs in the parking lot, showed Anderson had been hit and dragged about 27 feet.
The vehicle that hit Anderson left the scene, but Anderson told police he had been hit by 32-year-old Stacy Anne Evenson of Mankato. He also said he and Evenson had been at the bar together.
Evenson was located at her residence in the 300 block of Eastport Drive later Sunday morning. She was arrested for assault and driving while intoxicated and remained in the Blue Earth County Jail Monday pending charges.
Anderson, of North Mankato, had a broken pelvis, broken right leg and multiple cuts and bruises, the report said. His clothing was torn apart and his cell phone was found smashed in the parking lot.
Investigators had interviewed Anderson but were hoping to get more information about the crash from other witnesses.
“If anyone saw it, we would sure appreciate hearing from them,” said Matt Westermayer, Department of Public Safety deputy director.
Anyone with information is being asked to call 387-8770.
