UPDATE: Motorcycle crash victim identified
An Amboy woman killed when her motorcycle crashed in Mapleton Monday has been identified.
Angie May Moore, 34, was traveling east on Main Street in Mapleton when witnesses heard a noise that sounded like a tire popping, a Mapleton Police Department news release said. The witnesses then saw Moore’s motorcycle wobbling side to side.
Moore, who was wearing a helmet, drove over a curb and hit a large cement planter, the report said. She was thrown from the motorcycle when it hit the planter.
Moore was transported to Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato, where she was pronounced dead.
