AMBOY — A 21-year-old Amboy man was arrested Thursday and is facing felony charges for allegedly sexually assaulting two teen girls.
Investigators are requesting first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges for Shane Jeffrey Schwichtenberg. Charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, failure to register as a sex offender and depriving parental rights also are being requested, said Capt. Rich Murry of the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies received a report that a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by Schwichtenberg, Murry said. The victims were interviewed and reported there were several incidents at public places throughout Blue Earth County during the previous week.
