Kiester house destroyed in fire
Kiester — A house in Kiester was a total loss after a fire Saturday.
A father and son were home at the time, but made it out of the house unharmed, Kiester Fire Chief Brandon Hagenson said. He declined to name the residents of the house, located at 109 N. 3rd St.
The fire started in the basement at about 11 a.m., though it’s not clear how, Hagenson said.
No other homes in the neighborhood were damaged.
The Kiester volunteers were assisted by counterparts from Wells, Walters and Bricelyn.
