A 22-year-old man was stabbed and a 19-year-old man was arrested for assault after a fight outside the Verizon Wireless Center Thursday night.
The stabbing victim stopped at the Mankato Law Enforcement Center just before 1 a.m. Friday to report the incident, which had taken place earlier. He said he had left a birthday party at the facility and was watching a fight when he felt something hit his arm.
He said he turned around and punched the person who hit him before realizing that person was holding a knife. The victim was treated at the hospital for his injuries and released.
Quyumba Wilson, 19, of Mankato was arrested, Mankato police said. Felony level assault charges are being requested.
